So what’s being said is that because people can’t control their behaviour and act stupidly, it’s the fault of the players.

If someone acts like an idiot, it’s because they are an idiot. It’s not because of a footballer waving his arms around in the air 50 yards away.

There are apparently now discussion­s about cracking down on post-match celebratio­ns on the pitch. Well, here’s another discussion to have.

What about arresting the senior officer who came up with such a ludicrous piece of chat? Does that sound silly? Well, it’s meant to be because then it will match neatly with that police report.

At least tomorrow at Hampden we’ll all be able to concentrat­e on something a bit more serious like a major final.

It’s a big day with the European Championsh­ip draw for Scotland and also the match between Hearts and Rangers giving the Ibrox side a chance to go top of the Premiershi­p. But Hampden is where the prize is being handed out and my feeling is that, if Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers goes with the team which is in winning form at the moment, his run of silverware success will continue.

Don’t change a thing. Stick with the lads in form because they are performing and will do again.
