IT HAS been another great year for Jess Glynne, whose second album Always in Between followed her debut, I Cry When I Laugh, to the top of the charts.

And she ended it on a high with a sell-out arena tour. But 2019 promises to be even better. As well as two massive Scotttish gigs, she’ll be supporting her heroes, the Spice Girls, in their comeback arena tour.

The 29-year-old has had more No1 singles, seven, than any other British female. But stardom has been a steep learning curve for her, as she has found striking the right balance between her keeping her own life private and public fame not always easy. She said: “I think at the beginning I did struggle with the balance.
