SINC Bhoys can beat Gers’ noise

Celts don’t fear Ibrox cauldron says Sinclair

- BY CRAIG SWAN

SCOTT SINCLAIR insists Celtic’s stars won’t be noised up at Ibrox.

The Hoops will look to strike another blow in the title race with just 850 fans inside the stadium tomorrow due to the controversial ticketing allocation for Old Firm games this season. Rangers will enjoy almost all of

the 51,000-capacity backing cauldron in the and Ibrox boss Steven Gerrard is expecting the Light Blues faithful to “take the roof off ” in supporting their heroes.

Sinclair, though, insists ultra-professional Celtic won’t have a problem blocking out the noise as they focus on extending their unbeaten derby record to 13 games. He said: “I’m sure it will be a little bit different in terms of the crowd. But, as professionals, we get our heads down and forget about things like that. “We try to make sure that we play good football. It’s going to be a challenge and every game we go into is going to be difficult. “Both sides are wanting to win but it’s up to us to play our normal game, create chances and get the three points.” Brendan Rodgers has won all of his four games at Ibrox since taking charge of the champions. Celtic can move six points clear of Rangers with a game in hand if they triumph but Sinclair is adamant there is pressure on both sides to deliver regardless of the standings. He said: “The table is tight and there is only room to keep improving and winning. There’s pressure for both teams.” Meanwhile, French side Amiens are set to launch a late bid to persuade Timothy Weah to join them. The 18-year-old has been widely tipped for a loan move to the Hoops after announcing he would be leaving PSG this week. Weah, son of former Ballon d’Or winner George, hopes to get first-team action elsewhere. But Celtic now face competition from Ligue 1 strugglers Amiens with boss Christophe Pelissier calling Weah this week in a bid to try to tempt him to the Stade de la Licorne
