Cruise in style Clip to shore

-

WHEN it comes to a traditional – yet quirky – cruising experience, you can’t beat Star Clippers. This iconic cruise line operate three of the world’s largest and tallest sailing vessels, which visit intimate ports that are often untouched by larger cruise ships while offering passengers the atmosphere of a private yacht.

Royal Clipper, the largest and only five-mast full-rigged sailing ship, carries just 227 guests.

Sister ships Star Clipper and Star Flyer carry 170 guests each. All three have expansive teak decks, swimming pools, informal dining at your own time, a convivial Tropical Bar and a comfortable piano bar.

On-board, guests will also experience attentive service with a 2:1 guest to crew ratio.

Passengers can also get involved with sailing the ship, climbing the crow’s nest and pulling the ropes. Water sports are complimentary on board, such as kayaking, wind surfing and snorkelling. Scuba diving is available at an additional charge on all Asia sailings aboard the Star Clipper, depending on local weather. When it’s time to rest your head, there are different categories of staterooms depending on your needs, all of which are equipped with en-suites, televisions, phones, DVD players, hair-dryers and a safe. Plus, some cabins also have their own private veranda or open straight on to the deck.

But it’s not just the ships that are second-to-none. Star Clippers also sail to some of the most picturesque and luxurious locations in the world – from the Caribbean to the Panama Canal and the Mediterranean to Southeast Asia. They also offer themed cruises, including Celebrity Chefs, a Christmas Cruise and a Relaxing Yoga Cruise.

There are also several exotic shore excursions on offer such as jungle trekking and kayaking in Malaysia, a Croydon pineapple and coffee plantation tour in Jamaica and dolphin and whale watching.
