I’M SURE RANGERS WON’T LOSE... I HAVE A FEELING

ALFREDO MORELOS can cement his growing reputation with a game-winning show against Celtic.

But his Rangers team-mates better make sure he doesn’t stand alone as the only valid route to Craig Gordon’s goal.

Will a Rangers title challenge be over for another season if Celtic win and go six points in front with a game in hand?

You’d never say never but I’m the summit with Brendan Rodgers’s side.

They haven’t won at this level since March 2012 when Lee Wallace was among the goalscorer­s in a 3-2 victory.

That’s a long time ago and a win against their greatest rivals would go some way to helping Rangers heal the wounds of so much that has happened since the club’s financial problems.

More importantl­y it would boost even further the confidence of Gerrard’s new-look squad and kick them on for the remainder of the season.

Morelos is the man who can deliver the goals and even if he has yet to find the net against Celtic, his tally of 20 for the season so far can’t be ignored.

Along with Allan McGregor and James Forrest he has been the best player in Scottish football since the summer and, at the age of 22, he still has so much more to give.

Hands up, the jury was out at the start of the season on the true worth of Morelos to the team and I still have nagging doubts about his temperamen­t, even though he’d only be half the player if he didn’t play on the edge.

But he has emerged to prove he’s the real deal – physical,
