SO Dedryck Boyata’s agent confirms he’ll be leaving Celtic in the summer.

- EUAN McLEAN ANSWERS YOUR CALLS

Well, he’ll have no shortage of offers to give him a lift to the airport right now after his performance in the last Old Firm game.

The Belgian defender’s relationship with the Hoops support was on a shoogly enough peg in the summer.

Now it’s fair to say they won’t be bidding a tearful farewell when he leaves for pastures new.

John Orr, Greenock, said: “Why wait until the summer to get rid of Boyata after his performance at Ibrox? He was honking and his pal Olivier Ntcham was almost as bad.

“A few months ago people were quoting £17million for the two of them and I’d have bitten your hand off for that.”

David Bryce emailed: “I am absolutely delighted to hear Boyata will be leaving us in the summer. He’s such a poor central defender and my heart’s in my mouth every time I watch him play.

“It also shows the folly in rejecting a £9m bid for him in the summer. That sums our club up.”

Scott Brown could be leaving too if he accepts a life-changing offer to join Australian side Western Melbourne. Mary Jane McLaughlin, Lennoxtown, said: “Obviously Celtic fans want Brown to stay but it’s up to his wife and kids to decide whether he should take this chance to go to Australia.

“His family have supported him throughout his career so if it’s a move that would benefit their lifestyle they should go for it.”

But it’s the comings rather than goings at Parkhead that consumes the mind of Michael Sheerin,

Liverpool, who said: “A good midfielder or left-sided

player is Rafael Camacho of the Liverpool Under-23s. He’s very quick, can score goals and would be a good signing on loan for Celtic. I don’t fancy Oliver Burke and I hope Brendan Rodgers steers clear.”

A call yesterday urging Celtic to sign Manchester United’s Ander Herrera earned a laugh as Alan Grier emailed: “What planet are you on? What do you think Herrera earns at Old Trafford? I would think he will be in the £5m-a-year bracket.” Mal Carruthers, Troon, said: “Why would Herrera leave Manchester United for Celtic?

“As for caller Dunky Robertson talking about a points deduction for Rangers (over smoke bombs being thrown at Celtic’s team bus) is that how desperate they are getting?”

Trevor McDonald, Ballymena, said: “The sarcastic comments on this week’s Hotline have been laughable. Any fan could see Rangers were the better team in the derby and fans are allowed to celebrate.

“Rangers have come a long way in such a short period of time but we all know nothing is won until you have it in your hands.”

Dundee United’s takeover has brought uncertainty and Mike Atherton, Craigentinny, has no sympathy. He said: “Reading the call from Ronald Swan about turning the lights out at Tannadice gave me a great idea. Why don’t Rangers sell raffle tickets to be the one to turn them off? All the cash goes to charity. I’d spend £20 at least.” Stephen Johnstone, Ardentinny, has some unusual career advice. He said: “Neil Lennon is at the crossroads of his career with Hibs. He appears finished, not only at Hibs but also as a manager.

“With the experience he has he should be appointed as a mental health officer working for the SFA to help other players going through depression.”
