PARTICK THISTLE last night insisted midfielder Chris Erskine isn’t being pushed out the door.

The Championship outfit confirmed an unnamed Scottish club was allowed to speak to the 31-year-old after asking about his availability last weekend.

A Jags statement said: “Chris is not being forced from Partick Thistle and the decision remains in his hands. Chris remains part of the first-team squad and will be treated with the respect that a player who has given so much to this club deserves.

“Chris remains committed to the club as he continues to prepare for Saturday’s game.” Connor Bell and Ruaridh Langan left Morton after agreeing to rip up their contracts.

Bell had started just twice since the ex-Inverness striker’s summer arrival while midfielder Langan had done so once having come through the youth ranks. Cowdenbeath have landed 19-year-old striker Matty Henvey on loan from Dundee until the end of the season. Airdrie striker Cammy Russell is off to Lowland League East Kilbride on loan until the end of the campaign. Scott Allardice could move to Irish club Waterford to get game time after returning to Dundee United from a loan spell at Dumbarton.

The midfielder, whose deal runs out in the summer, cannot play for another club this season having featured for both teams.

But Waterford, believed to be keen, start their new Premier Division season next month.

Meanwhile, East Fife are keen on bringing Tannadice keeper Josh Donaldson in on loan. Stranraer have extended loan deals for Kilmarnock frontman Innes Cameron and Celtic forward PJ Crossan until the end of the season. Defender Alan Murdoch and striker Graham Gracie left Albion Rovers by mutual consent, joining Cumnock Juniors. Jason Krones is set to join Rovers until the end of the season after the defender, 19, was released by Motherwell.
