At least the Scottish Cup at the weekend gives us hope of having fresh talking points other than John Beaton, Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Christie’s goolies.

“Celtic got £20m for Moussa Dembele for goals against PSG and Man City in the Champions League.

“Goals against Livingston and Kilmarnock and none in about games against Celtic will bank £5m tops.”

Scott Arfield’s gloating about putting Scott Brown in his place by repeating his famous arms aloft celebratio­n ruffled a few green feathers too.
