Warriors ordered to show true colours again

-

DAVE RENNIE wants his Warriors to show their real character in today’s pivotal clash with Saracens.

The Glasgow coach has ordered his players to shake off their jitters in London. Rennie’s men are already through thanks to Edinburgh’s victory last night but need a decisive Champions Cup win to leapfrog the English side and secure a home quarter-final.

Glasgow have struggled to find top form in recent weeks BY DAVID KELSO but Rennie said: “This would be the perfect time to get back to where we were.

“We’re going into this match with the mentality we want to top the group and earn a quarter-final at our place.

“We’re going to have to take our chances. Saracens are a strong defensive side so our rate of conversion from pressure into points is going to have to be better than in recent weeks.

“We’ve prepared well and have a side on the park that knows they can win on the road.”

Glasgow’s run of shaky displays has seen Adam Hastings go off the boil.

But Rennie has brought the youngster back in at stand-off. And he said: “Every player goes through difficult spells.

“We are very confident Adam will do a solid job for us. He has shown what he can do at the highest level and this is a great opportunity for him to do it again.”
