COLIN McMENAMIN says the only pressure Stenny face at Aberdeen is trying to preserve one of Scottish football’s proudest records.

The Warriors boss will lead his side at Pittodrie knowing his club are the only team in the country the Dons have never beaten.

There have been three competitiv­e clashes, Aberdeen’s first fixture back in 1903, as well as the most recent in 1995 which delivered one of the Scottish Cup’s biggest upsets.

That 2-0 win at Ochilview sent shockwaves across the game and McMenamin has been handed daily reminders since pulling Derek McInnes’s side out the hat.

He said: “It’s a shot to nothing for us. There’s no pressure as Aberdeen are expected to win so the onus is all on them.

“We aim to enjoy the occasion by giving a good account of ourselves and not showing ourselves up. That’s the priority.

“Ever since the draw was made I’ve been reminded about 1995 when Terry Christie’s Stenny created a Scottish Cup shock.

“Plenty of people have talked to me about that day and it shows that anything can happen in football.

“I’ve also been reminded of the statistic the only Scottish side never to have lost to Aberdeen is Stenhousem­uir.

“Apparently we’ve faced them three times so we’re going for four in a row.
