TIME FOR NEW EDDIE STUNNER

-

MARC McCALLUM can’t escape Eddie Malone’s famous cup strike against Celtic after continually seeing it on social media and listening to him bragging about it.

But the Forfar keeper reckons it’s time for his teammate to come up with another giantkilling goal. Malone netted for Clyde in their 2-1 Scottish Cup win against Gordon Strachan’s Hoops 13 years ago.

And McCallum said: “Eddie doesn’t stop talking about that goal. It’s about time he came up with another and this is the perfect time. His goal has been all over social media for the last two weeks. He’s been getting ribbed in training but he’s a brilliant character.

“I’d love to think Eddie could come up with another goal to dine out on. But he’ll have a nosebleed if he’s that far up the park these days.” CHRIS HUMPHREY reckons East Kilbride have the weapons to sting Caley Thistle.

The ex-Motherwell and Hibs winger is looking to guide Lowland League leaders Kilby to the biggest result in their history against the 2015 winners.

Humphrey, who came out of retirement to join EK in October, said: “If we go up there and play the way we have been I think we’ve got a really good chance.

“I’ve been in these kinds of games with Motherwell and Hibs where the pressure is heaped on you and that can have an effect.”

Inverness striker Jordan White said: “A few of their players have played at a good level. They’re going to make it difficult for us and we have to do a professional job.”
