Mum issues plea four years after shooting
son’s life short and my life has never been the same.
“I would ask whoever did this to come forward and tell us why they took my son’s life.
“The last four years of my life have been a living hell and on anniversaries like this, it just emphasises the fact that I have to live my life without seeing him grow up. All the hopes and dreams I had for him have been cruelly taken away from me.
“Please, find it in your heart to come forward and talk to the police so they can find those responsible and help me find some kind of peace for the loss of my son.”
Kevin was shot four years ago in Liverpool’s Wavertree area.
The family had only recently moved to the city from London, but originally lived in Viewpark, Lanarkshire.
Proud Scot Kevin was known to pals as “Bagpipes Kev”.
Since February 7, 2015, 13 people have been arrested and quizzed on suspicion of his murder but nobody has been charged.
In 2016, a 31-year-old man was jailed for three years and three months for theft and perverting the course of justice.
He took Kevin’s phone from his body as he lay dying, an act described by a judge as “the lowest you can get”.
Another teenager was jailed for 11 years in 2017 after footage of him shooting the pistol used to kill Kevin was found on his phone.
But police concluded neither man was involved in Kevin’s murder.
