Mouat expecting tough time in his title defence

BRUCE MOUAT believes his defending champions need to be on their best form for the Scottish Championships this week due to the strength of British Curling.

The tournament will take place at Perth’s Dewars Centre and Mouat expects nothing other than a tough challenge from his rivals as they bid to retain their title.

Mouat, whose rink this season also won the European Championships, said: “This is going to be a really hard nationals to win.

“There are a number of teams in Perth this week that could win and go on to represent Scotland at the world championships.”
