Win gets Rocks out of the Wood
DARRYL WOOD admits Glasgow Rocks dug deep to haul themselves up the table with a 99-82 victory over Bristol Flyers last night.
Greg Pryor led the way with 18 points as a 10-2 run late in the third period pushed the Scots clear of their play-off rivals at the Emirates.
Coach Wood was encouraged by the second-half surge that lifted Rocks out of the British Basketball League’s bottom three for the first time since October.
He said: “We weathered the storm and came out the other side strong.”
Caledonia Pride’s hopes of making the last four of the WBBL Trophy suffered a setback with an 81-71 reverse at Durham Palatinates.
