No harm in Power kick on pal Ryan

“I don’t think he tries to take Jacko’s face off.

“It’s just an incident where Jacko is brave and puts his head there for the club and the team. It’s one of those things.”

Killie defender Kirk Broadfoot refused to condemn Jermain Defoe after the Rangers striker’s second-half tumble in the box.

Broadfoot said: “On the pitch Defoe said to me he’d told the ref it wasn’t a penalty.

“He’s taken a wee dive and flicked his leg out but to be fair to him he said it wasn’t a penalty.”

Scottish football is being buried under a blizzard of controvers­ies with the SFA retrospect­ive system and the performanc­e of whistlers coming under fire.

But Arfield said: “We can’t affect it. It’s like a decision a referee makes on a Saturday. You can’t change it.

“If you’re missing games for people making decisions then you are never going to change that decision. You just need to get on with it.”
