I predict a riot

ONCE again, Project Fear ups the ante on Brexit.

Rather than riots in the streets in the event of no deal, I suspect there is more chance of celebrations.

Riots may be more likely in the event that Brexit is betrayed. WHAT is so sacrosanct about the Brexit referendum?

After the most crushing Government defeat in the history of the Commons, Theresa May had no hesitation in presenting almost identical proposals almost immediately afterwards. And lo and behold, a multitude of MPs had changed their minds.

What is it that the Brexiteers fear? Could it be that now their terminological inexactitudes have been exposed as blatant lies and the innumerable pitfalls involved in an exodus have been laid bare, that the public would opt to stay?

Surely that would be democracy.
