Sex pest row Tory back in Commons
UNDER-FIRE Scottish Tory MP Ross Thomson was back in the Commons chamber yesterday.
The Aberdeen South MP, who is facing complaints of “sexual touching” from fellow drinkers in a Westminster bar, made a brief appearance yesterday during Work and Pensions questions.
The MP appeared to speak to colleagues for a short time before leaving the chamber.
Thomson, 31, has denied any wrongdoing after an incident last Tuesday, when police were sent to the Strangers’ Bar in the Commons. No arrests or charges were made but Thomson was escorted from the premises.
Witnesses claimed Thomson was extremely drunk and made unwanted approaches to other drinkers.
Despite pressure from colleagues to issue an apology, Thomson was unrepentant and said the allegations against him are completely false.
He said he had referred himself to the Tories’ disciplinary panel.
