‘Robbery’ at Scotmid shop

POLICE cordoned off a suburban convenience store last night amid reports of an armed robbery.

Officers were called to Scotmid in Bearsden, near Glasgow, at about 7.15pm.

There were reports on social media that staff were held up at gunpoint.

Police said no one was injured in the incident.
