You gotta roll with it

A CAR maker has invented a double bed that rolls selfish sleepers back to their side of the mattress whenever they stray on to the other half.

Ford has adapted the lane-centring assist technology used to ensure drivers remain in the middle of their lane into a BY JAMIE HARRIS concept dubbed the lanecentring bed.

Pressure sensors detect when a person moves from one side of the bed to the other and gently rolls them back to their side with the help of an integrated conveyor belt.

The prototype bed was created as part of an exploratory project to tackle everyday problems using the company’s technology.

But the bad news for sleep-deprived partners who are pushed to the edge at night is that there are no plans at the moment to put it into production.
