Achara: We must stay Rock solid to succeed

KIERON ACHARA insists Glasgow Rocks must be ready to push themselves to the limit if they want to reach a second major final of the season.

Darryl Wood’s men travel to London City Royals tonight for the first leg of their BBL Trophy semi amid a run of four games in eight days.

Achara admits coping with the workload could end up being the difference.

And with a league trip to Newcastle slotted in ahead of Sunday’s second leg at the Emirates Arena, the former Great Britain captain reckons everyone will need to chip in.

He said: “It’s a weird week because we have to focus on so many games inside a short period.

“We’ve now got three games in five days.

“So we need to find a way to push while also not burning ourselves out.

“And that puts a lot of responsibility on Darryl. We must stay fresh if we’re going to be successful.”
