WILSON WOE IS SHOCKER FOR TOONY

-

BY DAVID KELSO SCOTLAND’S hopes of reviving their Six Nations hopes have been dealt a massive injury blow.

Breakaway forward Ryan Wilson will miss the final three matches after suffering knee ligament damage during the defeat by Ireland at Murrayfield on Saturday.

Wilson is also now facing a battle to be fit for Glasgow’s European Champions Cup quarter-final against Saracens at the end of next month.

With seven other back-row men already sidelined, Scotland head coach Gregor Townsend has been left with major problems to solve ahead of the clash with struggling France in Paris a week on Saturday.

The enforced absence of tough guy Wilson could mean a first Test start for Gary Graham. Newcastle ace Graham came off the bench for his debut against the Irish following Wilson’s withdrawal.

Townsend will also be forced to wait anxiously for news of two other wounded Warriors stars.

Stuart Hogg sustained a shoulder knock after being the victim of a late tackle while centre Huw Jones has been dogged by knee worries. Both players will be assessed by specialists this week.
