Joe’s done runner now

-

CRICKET JOE ROOT helped pile on the misery for the West Indies on day three of the third Test in St Lucia.

Root was unbeaten on 111 at the close after struggling throughout this series while Joe Denly hit his first half-century in Test cricket.

Jos Buttler also got 56 before he was bowled by Kemar Roach as England extended their lead to 448.

Opening pair Rory Burns and Keaton Jennings both went cheaply.

Rory Burns tamely flicked Keemo Paul to square leg after making 10 while Jennings was out for 23 after being bowled via his thigh pad.

Denly was dropped by Shimron Hetmyer at third slip.
