Valencia fear they won’t have a ball in Glasgow

VALENCIA players fear they won’t cope with the pressure against Celtic – after struggling to adapt to the Europa League ball.

Spanish media released film of Valencia stars’ unease when the squad were given the official match ball at training on Monday. Daniel Wass, Goncalo Guedes and Moukhtar Diakhaby pulled faces as they examined the equipment.

Guedes complained about the ball to assistant coach Sergio Garcia who said: “You’ll need to qualify for the Champions League if you don’t like it.”

A Spanish source said: “The players’ body language didn’t appear too happy about the change of equipment.”
