CAPITAL TEST FOR RODGERS TREBLE HUNTERS

- BY ALAN MARSHALL

CELTIC must negotiate a tricky trip to Easter Road to keep their treble Treble bid on track after being handed Hibs in the last eight of the Scottish Cup. Brendan Rodgers’s side have racked up back-to-back defeats in Leith but

will have to remedy that run after a draw that means at least one Championship side will feature in the semi-finals.

And ex-Celtic striker Scott McDonald said: “That’s a dangerous one for Celtic. Hibs at Easter Road are very good.”

Aberdeen will host the winners of Rangers against Kilmarnock after Saturday’s feisty fifthround clash ended in a 0-0 stalemate at Rugby Park. The pair do battle again a week tomorrow in a replay at Ibrox.

Hearts head to Maryhill to face Partick Thistle while Dundee United host the winners of next Tuesday’s replay between fellow second-tier sides Inverness Caley Thistle and Ross County.

The quarter-final games will take place on the weekend of March 2 and 3.
