Troll taunts missing woman’s family with fake Facebook profile

-

A SICK troll created a fake social media account for suspected murder victim Sarah Wellgreen.

The Facebook profile, using the missing mumof-five’s picture, has been sending friend requests to her family and taunting her son.

A volunteer-run page on the search efforts for the 47-year-old urged people not to respond.

A post warned: “We have been contacted by Sarah’s family this morning. There is a fake Facebook profile bearing nothing other than Sarah’s picture and sending out friend requests to her friends and family and others associated with her, which has caused great distress.

“Please do not respond to any requests from anyone posing as Sarah Wellgreen. This is obviously done by a very insensitive individual. The matter is being handled by Kent Police.”

The troll messaged Sarah’s son, Lewis Burdett, saying: “How are you doing today?”

Lewis, 23, replied “You think this is funny, do you?” and made a call to the profile. The troll ignored the call and responded: “Lol.” Lewis posted a screenshot of the message, saying: “What sort of sick **** thinks this is funny?”

Sarah vanished from her home in New Ash Green, Kent, in October last year. Ex Ben Lacomba denies murdering her and will stand trial in June.

Police said: “Kent Police has been notified of a fake social media profile using the name and photograph of murder victim Sarah Wellgreen. This information is being assessed to establish whether criminal offences have been committed.”
