BUBBLY DANCE TEACHER GOT BIG BREAK THANKS TO TV EXEC’S PA

WHEN Greg Dyke took over at TV-am, he was under pressure to freshen up Good Morning Britain.

His PA thought her effervesce­nt dance teacher might be the very person to help – which is how Lizzie Webb, with her big hair and multicolou­red tracksuits, joined the show.

The BBC had the Green Goddess. Now GMB had Mad Lizzie. After her THE creator of the Hip and Thigh Diet is best known for her books and videos – but she was also a regular on This Morning in the 80s.

Rosemary came up with her now unfashiona­ble eating regime when she suffered from gallstones.

Having struggled with her weight, she drasticall­y reduced fat in her diet, solved her health problems and has weighed eight stone ever since.

At one point, she had a huge empire of franchised slimming clubs and exercise classes. She wound up that company in 2014, only to reinvent herself for the online age.

Rosemaryco­nley.com, billed as “the online weight loss club”, is the same diet and fitness message served up for subscriber­s via the internet.

Rosemary appeared in Dancing on Ice in 2012 and was the sixth person to be voted off the show.

She’s now 72 and still a size eight. stint on morning telly, she moved into children’s television with her character Joggy Bear, designed to get a younger audience moving around in front of their tellies.

Now a septuagena­rian, Lizzie campaigns for the Royal Osteoporos­is Society.
