WRIGHT WAY TO IMPRESS

-

JIM McINTYRE believes Dundee loan star Scott Wright is destined to go to the top.

The manager has been delighted with the contribution the Aberdeen winger has made in his month at Dens Park.

Wright hit a free-kick winner against Livingston last weekend, helped grab a point at Hamilton and has added some much-needed cutting edge to help the Dark Blues out of the bottom two.

McIntyre said: “Scott’s got talent and quality in his locker. There’s a lot of competition at Aberdeen but he could quite easily have stayed there and been part of the squad.

“There’s nothing to say he wouldn’t have got a run in the team. He chose to come here to play games and we’re delighted to have him.

“He is constantly wanting to get better and that will take him right to the top. Derek McInnes BY SCOTT BURNS keeps in touch and discusses how he’s doing. It’s important when you loan a player from any club you get feedback.”

McIntyre will look for more magic from Wright and the rest of his squad to keep their winning run going tomorrow night when Hibs make the trip to Tayside.

The Dundee boss expects Andreas Hadenius and Andrew Nelson to be fit but he is sweating over Craig Curran who has a stomach problem.

McIntyre added: “That Livingston game is gone now and we’ve got Hibs on Friday night and it’s a matter of concentrating on that one.

“Hibs have a new manager, it’s going to be a tough game. They got off to a good start and have good players but we’re at home in front of the cameras and want to put on a good performance.”
