Reality hits home for Dani
LOVE Island star Dani Dyer is climbing Mount Kilimanjaro for Comic Relief – but she and boyfriend Jack Fincham have already had plenty of ups and down. The pair won reality show Love Island seven months ago. They split in December but reconciled, then starred in their own reality show Life After Love Island. Dani and Jack have endured claims they are only staying together to make money. This month, he was caught snorting cocaine, which added to their woes and she moved out of the house they shared. Dani, daughter of EastEnders actor Danny Dyer, said: “I’ve had messages calling me fake, or saying I only got to where I am because of my dad, or articles saying (Jack and I are) going to split up. “It hurts because it’s not true. “I’m 22 and this isn’t a normal situation that I’m dealing with.” Dani said some fans treat her and Jack as the new David and Victoria Beckham. She added: “I don’t know what money they think we’ve got together but we’re not David and Victoria. We’re not a brand. I’m my own woman, my own person.”
Dani is taking advice from her parents about her relationship with Jack.
She added: “Mum and dad taught me never to give up when it comes to your relationship.
“No relationship is easy and they’ve been through it all.”
And it seems she’s still dreaming of a Love Island wedding.
Dani said: “In five years’ time, I want to be married or at least engaged but I want a solid career before I have a baby.
“If, in a few years, I was happy and wanted one, then why not? Jack’s 27 this year, so he’ll be saying, ‘Come on!’” ● The full interview appears in the April edition of Cosmopolitan, out
