MORE than 10,000 customers who lodged complaints about defunct payday lender Wonga have been “cast aside”, says an MP.

Nicky Morgan, chairwoman of the Commons Treasury Committee, says those affected face a double setback – their complaints won’t now be resolved by the Financial Ombudsman Service, and they’re not entitled to compensation.

Wonga, known for its puppet adverts, collapsed in August after it was hit by a surge in compensation claims.
