I’M FEELING BROODY

Mum-of-three Kate swoons at sight of tot

- BY RUSSELL MYERS

THE Duchess of Cambridge has sparked jokes about having a fourth baby by saying she felt a “little broody”.

Kate’s words were inspired by the sight of five-month-old James Barr, who she called “gorgeous”.

James’s dad Alan asked, “Baby number four?” and the Duchess laughed and said, “I think William would be little worried.”

Kate, 37, also told a little girl: “I love your cool coat. Charlotte loves pink.”

She met the two youngsters in Ballymena yesterday on day two of the Cambridges’ visit to Northern Ireland.

Earlier, she and William talked to police in Belfast about mental health support for officers. It was an unannounced meeting at the duke’s request.

A source said: “William has spoken candidly about how he was supported as an air ambulance pilot and he was very interested in the sharing of ideas and experiences between all the emergency services and armed forces.”

William and Kate then visited the Braid Arts Centre in Ballymena to meet young people working with an arts charity.

On a 15-minute walkabout before going inside, William shook hands with Owen McAuley, 10. Owen said later: “I didn’t even know who he was apart from someone told me he was Harry’s brother and then I knew.”

Later, the Cambridges chatted to fellow parents at the St Joseph’s SureStart facility in Ballymena and revealed they get up at night to tend to their three children rather than relying on staff.
