Summit’s up with Trump and Kim but it’s not the Brend of the world

GLENN Close has admitted to some disappointment after failing to win an acting Oscar, despite being nominated for a seventh time.

Prize winner Olivia Colman isn’t really worried about this. But her pet rabbit is bricking it.

Colman was delighted at the win but even she admitted there was a more worthy winner of the Best Actress gong.

That was, of course, Bradley Cooper’s long-term girlfriend Irina Shayk for not going off her nut during his debut with Lady Gaga.

At the aftershow party, Irina did her best to get Cooper to leave but he wasn’t having it. Meaning he’s now perfectly qualified to play in goals for Chelsea.

Elsewhere, fellow Oscar winner Rami Malek is apparently in the running to be a Bond villain in the next 007 film.

Clever boy. He’s keeping the teeth he used as Freddie Mercury and hoping to get the call-up to play Jaws. Talking of Bond, the next movie in the franchise is to be filmed under the working title Shatterhand.

Wee bit ironic. After all Bond’s love scenes, you wouldn’t have thought his hand would be the first part of his body to shatter.

In fairness, it seemed like a real-life James Bond plot was being acted out this week.

Donald Trump met Kim Jong-un again. It was less of a political summit, more of a hairdressing convention.

For the meeting, Trump went to Vietnam. Though out of habit he did try to get a doctor’s line so he could dodge it.

MICHAEL Jackson’s family have hit out at the controversial Channel 4 documentary covering allegations about the star.

Just to confirm, the title of that film is “Leaving Neverland”. Not to be confused with the upcoming documentary about Brexit. That’s called “Never Leaving-Land”.

way there by train. A journey which lasted two days and covered some of the most dangerous terrain on earth. But was still more reliable than ScotRail.

Of course, it was no surprise Kim took a train. North Korea’s only form of airborne transport is a nuclear missile.

Unsurprisingly, the summit between Trump and the North Korean leader ended with no agreement after the US refused Kim’s demands for sanctions relief.

Plus Kim refused Trump’s request to nuke Michael Cohen’s house in America.

It turns out both leaders are going down different paths. One’s a sociopath, while the other’s a psychopath.

Like big Donald, we’ll head back to the States for final thoughts on the Oscars. Green Book was named Best Movie.

The decision was criticised by many in the film industry. Making it the most controversial Green Book in the news this week.

Well, with the exception of Brendan Rodgers’ autobiography.

Royal Mail has apologised after announcing a price rise which breaches a cap designed to make the postal service “affordable” for all consumers.

Personally, I think our second-class post is tremendous value.

Come on, who else offers a service where a three-week journey only costs around 60p.
