Balatoni well placed to dish out Citizens advice

-

LEAGUE TWO CONRAD BALATONI is relishing being one of the wiser old heads in Edinburgh City’s title tilt.

The 28-year-old is studying pensions after going part-time in football last summer.

The younger Citizens have the likes of Balatoni, a First Division winner with Partick Thistle, to keep them relaxed for the run-in.

He said: “When I was younger I never thought I would enjoy it but it’s actually quite nice. You get a lot of the young lads asking you questions.

“I’m not that old but in that changing room I’m one of the older ones. If I can help them maybe improve five, 10 per cent, that would be brilliant for me and for them.”

Clyde are unbeaten in their last 15 – the club’s best run since 1956-57.

Boss Danny Lennon said: “Stats are nice, regardless of what way you look at them there are positives in them, there can be negatives in them.

“But any manager, any player, they go out to win every game – that’s your job.” CLYDE miss Kevin Nicoll but Chris McStay, Ally Love and Kristoffer Syvertsen return to face who give Allan Smith a fitness test. Shane Sutherland misses out for

against who have four doubts. Ryan Goodfellow is in for at fullstrength Scott Gibson and Alan Gow are fit for at who have three doubtful. David Cox returns for against who add Lee Hamilton.
