Kerr: We’ve got the World at our feet after rout

ICELAND ............... 1 SCOTLAND .......... 4

- LAST NIGHT FOOTBALL TODAY

SHELLEY KERR insists her stars passed their World Cup test with flying colours as Scotland ended a four-game losing streak.

Winger Lizzie Arnot opened her international account – then added a second – in an Algarve Cup clash where four goals were the least Kerr’s side deserved.

The win left them second in Group A and set up a play-off with Denmark tomorrow for fifth in the 12-team tournament.

Kerr said: “The pleasing thing was I put the players under pressure before the game.

“I told them they will need to win a game at the World Cup if we want to get out of the group. The players passed the test.”

Arnot sent a low shot home 14 minutes in before Erin Cuthbert buried Claire Emslie’s cutback.

Kim Little added No.3 and Sara Gunnarsdottir struck before Arnot bundled in her second.
