Capaldi celebrates No1 with hilarious pics
LEWIS Capaldi is a winner who clearly hasn’t lost touch with the people who helped him make it.
He posted daft pics as Miss World and the victor in a giant pumpkin contest.
While his talents are being richly rewarded, his ability to poke fun at himself is endearing him to even more fans.
SCOTS singer Lewis Capaldi posted a hilarious series of photoshopped images to celebrate his single reaching No1. Lewis, 22, from Whitburn, West Lothian, reached the top spot last week with Someone You Loved. Since then, he has been keeping his fans entertained with quirky Instagram posts. His latest post features a series of photoshopped pictures with his face superimposed on to victors of Miss Universe and a biggest pumpkin contest. He also showed himself as the first man on the Moon, and superimposed himself topless into a snap of bodybuilding champions. Lewis’s Instagram followers loved the pics. Jo_see said: “Can we just get married now @lewiscapaldi? GOLDEN sense of humour.” Elhamilton27 said: “OMG. Cracks me up everytime.”
And alexy_bakes simply said: “Can’t deal.” His followers went wild when he posted a video of the moment he found out he’d reached the No1 spot.
Fans are already well used to his side-splitting antics.
In the video, Radio 1 can be heard in the background revealing fellow Scot Calvin Harris hit No2 on the charts with his Rag’n’Bone Man collaboration Giant, meaning Capaldi was top of the charts.
Capaldi yells, “F ***** g c’mon”, to the camera before dancing by himself and picking up his hotel telephone and asking, ‘Where’s the lager?’
Lewis, beat Harris to the top spot in the UK charts after racking up 58,000 singles sales as well as six millions streams.
Since entering the charts at No66 in January, the song had been steadily climbing the charts before reaching the top last Friday.
Last month, Capaldi revealed details of his upcoming tour, which includes dates in Glasgow and Edinburgh in early December.
