Take to sea in Splendor
THERE’S always room for improvement, even with things that seem perfect – and that’s true too for the Regent Seven Seas.
The luxury cruise line are already renowned for their fleet of glamorous ships. But in 2020 they will launch the new Regent Splendor in their continuing quest for excellence.
The new ship will feature Regent’s iconic speciality restaurant, the Compass Rose, which offers daily menus of European cuisine including seafood, meats, soups and more – with the extra option of designing your own main course.
For entertainment, head to The Constellation Theatre – a luxurious two-level venue which serves as the ship’s entertainment hub and which houses the Casino, where you can play all the classic games, including roulette and poker.
To relax, head to the pool deck. There you can have a dip in either the main pool or whirlpools, sunbathe on one of the many loungers, enjoy a poolside snack at the grill and pick up a drink from the bar. Those seeking a quieter place to relax or swim will love the alternative terrace onboard, featuring an infinity pool.
To truly unwind, you can spend your day at the luxury Canyon Ranch Spa.
Treatments include therapeutic bodywork, seaweed wraps, and facials. If you want to rejuvenate through exercise, there’s also a fitness suite. In addition, the sports deck offers golf, shuffleboard, paddle tennis and bocce, a type of boules.
Finally, when it’s time for bed, you can retreat to some of the finest suites on the high seas, ranging from the 307sq-ft Veranda Suite to the huge 4443sq-ft Regent Suite. The ship will also boast the world’s most expensive bed, at $200,000.
And the ship will be doing its bit for the planet by swapping plastic bottles for reusable Vero glass ones.
