A YOUNG mum has shared her heartbreaking bucket list as she battles terminal cervical cancer. Abbie Colvin, who put off having treatment because she was pregnant with son Oscar, has been told she may not see another Christmas. The student, 21, is determined to make the most of the time she has left and has compiled a wish list. Abbie’s list of goals include swimming with sharks and eating Italian food in Italy. She has already fulfilled some of her wishes, including being a maid of honour at her sister’s wedding, doing the Race for Life and going to Disneyland. Her sister Christie has created a Go Fund Me page to help aspiring doctor Abbie “make the best memories”. Christie said: “Her loved ones see her when she’s unable to even lift her head off her pillow because she’s so weak. She wears size zero clothing because she’s lost that much weight from being sick every BY SAMANTHA CROAL samantha.croal@reachplc.com time she tries to eat or in daily life. She keeps fighting for her little miracle baby.
“She is such an inspiration. She wants to make memories with all her favourite people and take her baby places while she can.”
Abbie, who is originally from Glasgow but now lives in England, was diagnosed with cervical cancer when she was 19.
She found out she was pregnant soon afterwards and put off having chemotherapy until Oscar was born in December 2017.
Despite having chemo, giving birth and raising her son, she achieved top results in her biomedical science exams at Manchester Metropolitan University.
