Star’s sis ‘turned into exercise-mad introvert’ says pal
BY LUCY NEEDHAM LOUIS Tomlinson’s sister Félicité morphed from a “happy, confident, bubbly girl” to a “diet and exercisedriven introvert” following her mother’s death, a pal said yesterday.
Tragic Félicité died on Wednesday from a suspected heart attack, two years after mum Johannah Deakin lost her life to leukaemia, aged just 43.
In recent weeks, friends noticed she had lost weight and her social media posts were becoming less focused.
They are stunned by her death while One Direction star Louis is understandably said to be “distraught.”
A friend of budding social influencer Félicité – who was just 16 when her mother died – told how it came as a hammer blow.
“Félicité was happy, confident and bubbly. The world was at her feet. Then her mum died and she was never really the same. She really went into herself,” said the pal, who asked not to be named.
Midwife Johannah died in December 2016, leaving behind seven children: Louis, Lottie, Félicité and two sets of twins, Phoebe and Daisy and Ernest and Doris.
Her friend met Félicité at a YouTube party three years ago.
She said: “When her mum died, she started going out more but closed off her inner circle. It seemed like she’d shut down her trust.”
Budding designer Félicité is understood to have dreamed of studying fashion and had moved to London from Doncaster, Yorkshire, to follow her dream. But the lively youngster was beginning to worry pals, who said she had become focused on fitness, resulting in weight loss. “Everyone noticed the weight loss but we put that down to exercise,” the friend said. Paying tribute, she added: “It was a shock to hear she had died. “Félicité was someone that was so lovely and bubbly and happy, a lovely gorgeous girl. The kind of person where, if you were ever a bit sad, she’d come and pick you up and make sure you were OK. She was more focused on other people than herself. “She’d sooner check on you than check on herself. She was always such a loving and giving person.” Félicité died at her flat in Earls Court, west London. A postmortem will be held.
