Graham: Hitting the road can help give us a lift

-

ALLOA are preparing to hit the road and skipper Andy Graham believes their Championship journey will have a happy ending.

Jim Goodwin’s Wasps might be bottom of the table ahead of today’s clash against Morton at Cappielow followed by trips to Dundee United and Inverness.

Of nine games left, Alloa face six away from home but Graham insists that suits them because they’ve excelled on their travels.

In the relegation battle there are just three points between Falkirk, Partick Thistle and Alloa and defender Graham said: “It’s so close. We’ve got three away games coming up but it doesn’t faze us because we’ve done really well away from home.

“We’ve only lost four away, two of them to Ross County who are flying, Dundee United and Ayr.

“The more teams we can drag into it the better. We want to finish the season well by staying up, it’s as simple as that.”

Morton are sixth and six points adrift of a play-off spot but boss Jonatan Johansson’s only focus is on winning this afternoon.

Ton are unbeaten at home this year and Johansson said: “It’s such a tight league.

“Anybody can beat anybody and we are going to have to play at our best to get a result.

“We have been solid at home but this is going to be another tough one against Alloa.”
