Delphin thinks outside box for Ikpeazu scrap

-

HAMILTON stopper Delphin Tshiembe reckons he’ll have to box clever if he is to tame Uche Ikpeazu today.

Tshiembe can’t wait for his physical battle against the towering Hearts hitman .

But the 27-year-old is planning to use brains as well as brawn in a bid to outsmart the former Watford striker.

Tshiembe said: “Uche was missing the last time we BY ANTHONY HAGGERTY played against Hearts. But he is a big guy and that is the kind of challenge I like.

“I relish that physical battle and know I’m going to get that against him.

“But I need to be clever when it comes to players like Uche because he is going to outmuscle me due to his sheer physical strength.

“I’ll need to be smarter than him. The great thing about football is it’s not always about power and speed. It is also about being clever and I need to box clever on this one.

“A lot of strikers in Scotland are big and powerful so you need to be intelligent.”

Tshiembe hails from the Congo but moved to Denmark when he was a kid.

He hasn’t returned to Africa since leaving when he was just four years old and would love to visit his homeland soon.

The defender said: “The situation has calmed down a lot in Congo and it is safe to go back home.

“I haven’t had the chance to since I left. All my family are back home and it is my plan to go back there and see them one day.”
