The Lions were seeking around £175,000 when the club inquired in January.

Pittman will enter the final year of his deal this summer, leaving Livi with a decision to make over whether to sell or risk losing him for nothing in 2020.

Gary Holt is about to see Craig Halkett and Declan Gallagher depart at the end of the season. Halkett will sign a deal with Hearts while fellow defender Gallagher has agreed a precontract with Motherwell.

McInnes has offered St Johnstone skipper Joe Shaughnessy a return on a pre-contract four years on from leaving Pittodrie.

Pittman joined Livi in 2015 having been playing junior with Broxburn then Bo’ness after a brief stint at Alloa around the time of his Hamilton release.

The 26-year-old starred in a 1-1 draw at Pittodrie on Saturday – prompting Dons keeper Joe Lewis to warn Aberdeen must cope better with teams who park the bus against them.
