BY KIERAN SOUTHERN SOPHIE Turner said she became “very selfconscious” after receiving criticism on social media over her role in Game of Thrones.

The British actress, 23, has starred as Sansa Stark in the HBO fantasy show since 2011 but said comments online impacted her mental health.

Speaking to US talk show host Dr Phil on his podcast, Sophie said: “I would just believe it. I would say, ‘Yeah, I am spotty. I am fat. I am a bad actress’.”

Sophie said things got so bad she would hide away from her friends.

She said: “I had no motivation to do anything or go out.

“Even with my best friends, I wouldn’t want to see them, I wouldn’t want to go out and eat with them.”

Sophie is now one of the world’s most recognisable actresses thanks in part to Game Of Thrones and will star in Marvel superhero film Dark Phoenix in June.

A COLD-BLOODED wouldbe assassin posed as a courier before shooting a woman with a powerful crossbow hidden in a box he pretended to deliver to her door. The woman, 44, was shot in the chest and suffered “massive trauma that was both life-threatening and life-altering”. Police released video footage this week of the shooting in Mississauga, west of Toronto, Canada, in November. It was filmed with a camera mounted above the woman’s porch. Police hope to identify the BY STEPHEN STEWART attacker with help from the public and by using facial recognition software.

Superintendent Heather Raymore said: “It is clear this attack was made in an attempt to end the victim’s life.”

The video shows the moustachioed man dressed in ARMED cops hunted a group of teens wielding a crossbow – only to find it was a toy.

Police in Midlothian were contacted by a concerned member of the public who saw the youngsters playing pale clothes, a baseball cap and black gloves. Black hair, which may have been a wig, escaped from beneath his cap and he carried a large cardboard box that concealed the crossbow.

Police say it was powerful enough to kill a moose.

with what was thought to be a weapon in the Dalkieth area on Monday, at about 3.35pm.

Cops discovered the crossbow was just a toy and no further action was taken. his right arm appeared to extend into the box.

Detective Sergeant Jim Kettles, of Peel Regional Police, said: “What we believe is that his right arm was inserted through a hole in the box.”

When the woman opened the door he spoke to her briefly, then fired.

Kettles added: “The injuries she suffered were absolutely devastating. She will be in a recovery phase for the rest of her life.”

The woman managed to close the door after the arrow struck her and called police, who said she is now “in a place of safety”.
