Death threat to man who foiled MP kill

-

BY PAUL BYRNE A MAN who helped foil a neo-Nazi plot to murder an MP has received repeated death threats.

Jack Renshaw, 23, will be sentenced next month for planning to kill Labour’s Rosie Cooper, 68.

But Robbie Mullen, 25, who leaked details of the plot to Hope Not Hate, is living in fear after police intelligence revealed he is a target for reprisals.

He said: “The police offered me witness protection after each death threat but I’ve turned it down. They would have changed my name.”

White supremacist Renshaw, of Skelmersdale, Lancashire, revealed his plot to members of the banned far right group National Action in 2017.

He hoped he would die in a hail of police bullets. KEVIN Clifton’s sister has defended him against his ex-wife’s claims that he dumped her to become a star.

The Strictly star’s second wife Clare Craze has revealed that she took an overdose after he ended their marriage.

But Kevin’s sister, fellow professional dancer Joanne Clifton, hit back at Clare, tweeting: “The things you do for money, ey?” Kevin went on to retweet Joanne’s post.

Clare, 39, told a newspaper at the weekend that she “took a load of anxiety pills with wine” when Kevin, 36, finished with her after three years of marriage. She called Kevin “a Joanne, Kevin and her tweet CAST Rochenda Sandall and Stephen Graham BY MARK JEFFERIES social climber and fame hungry”, claiming he ditched her to pursue Karen Hauer. Dancer Karen, 37, later became his third wife but the couple split last year. Kevin is dating his Strictly co-star TV host Stacey Dooley, 32, who has split from her long-term partner. But despite the scandal over his lovelife, the BBC is expected to stand by Kevin, who confirmed yesterday that he will be in Strictly next season. A TV insider said: “Kevin is a much-loved professional by show bosses and millions of fans. “Clare is now talking about things which happened in 2010, so it should not affect any plans to have him on the show.”

Speaking on stage during his Burn The Floor dance show at the New Alexandra Theatre in Birmingham, he said: “Through the Burn The Floor, I got on Strictly Come Dancing and, contrary to what you may have read, I will be on the show again this year.

“I love the show. It is the best ever but it does have its downsides.

“The last two years there has been a lot of upheaval in my personal life, as you might have seen.

“Last year, there was a time when I considered giving up because friends and family were offered thousands to sell a negative story.” Kevin, who lifted the Glitterball trophy last year, said he is a “Strictly winner thanks to Miss Stacey Dooley”.

Clare claims Kevin ditched her in 2010 to pursue his Strictly co-star Karen, who he married in 2015.

Clare, who is also a dancer, said: “I thought I could convince him to stay. I was shaking, in tears… he got up and left.

“That week, I didn’t eat or sleep. It felt all hope from my life had gone. It was overwhelming.

“Afterwards, I went to a bar and took a load of anxiety pills with another large glass of wine.

“My father told me I was found near Waterloo Bridge by passers-by. I woke in hospital on a drip.”
