Archbishop Tutu, a hero of the antiapartheid movement and a Nobel Peace Prize winner, wasn’t the only one charmed.

Archie with his mum replied: “He likes to flirt.” Meghan also called her son “bubba”.

Unfazed by camera crews and photographers, Archie behaved impeccably. Harry, 35, said: “He’s so busy, constantly wanting to stand. He knows exactly what’s going on.”

The royals spent half an hour with the archbishop yesterday at his Legacy Foundation in Cape Town.

Having been in ill health recently, the grandad cancelled several public engagements to be rested for their visit.

He said he was “thrilled” by the “rare privilege” of meeting them. He officially retired from public life in the 90s but continues to support social justice and equality.

Archie’s debut on his first tour – 10 days in Africa – left fans saying how much he looks like his dad did as a baby.

Later in the day, Meghan, 38, told an entrepreneur: “Being a working mum and travelling with a baby, my goodness it’s a lot, but it’s all so exciting.”

Harry flew to Botswana yesterday. Meghan and Archie, who are staying in Cape Town, will be reunited with him in Johannesburg next week.
