Love is in the Square

Can Callum and Ben get budding romance back on track after first date is sabotaged?

-

It seems to be an unwritten rule in Walford that every gay man has to date Ben at some point. Now it’s Callum’s turn, but Stuart worries he’s about to be left heartbroken – after all, Ben’s track record isn’t exactly impressive when it comes to matters of the heart.

After their date doesn’t go well, Callum discovers that Stuart ruined it before it had even begun. Callum apologies to Ben and asks for another chance, but is surprised by the response he gets.

And Stuart isn’t the only family member Callum has to worry about as his dad Jonno returns. Will Callum come clean to him about why the wedding was cancelled?

Although his personal life is looking up, Ben needs to watch his back – an old enemy is about to make his presence felt.

Meanwhile, Dot surprises everyone by returning to Albert Square with her granddaughter Dotty, just as Bex becomes increasingly depressed as her university start date looms large because she just doesn’t feel ready to leave home. To take her mind off it, she throws herself into organising a baby shower for Louise, only for Mel to steal her thunder. Lisa notices Bex’s unease, particularly whenever the word ‘uni’ is mentioned and urges her to discuss any fears she has with Sonia. Bex ignores her advice and instead pretends to enjoy herself at a farewell party at the Vic before slipping back home, where she attempts to take her own life.

Whitney is thrilled to hear from Leo, still unaware of who he really is. Mel piles the pressure on Sharon, Jean encourages Daniel to make a bucket list, and Denise is suspicous of Wanda.
