DAVID Beckham enjoyed a posh fish supper during a visit to Scotland yesterday. The football star popped into the Crabshakk in Glasgow for lunch after filming an advert for his Haig whisky brand at The Gate pub in the Gallowgate. Becks, 44, posted a series of food snaps on Instagram from the Crabshakk, including fish and chips, mussels, scallops and rollmop herrings, which he said reminded him of his nan. The former England and Manchester United star also posed for selfies with star-struck staff. One worker at the well-known seafood restaurant in Argyle Street posted a selfie with Becks, saying: “We get lots of very special customers through our door, but some Wednesdays someone particularly lovely joins us for lunch. Thanks for your visit, David Beckham and have a wonderful time in Scotland!”

Becks’ entourage was also seen near a sex shop close to the Barrowland Ballroom – but they didn’t stop to take in those, er, sights.

During his trip north, the star travelled to Leven in Fife to tour the Haig whisky distillery.

Becks told his 58.5million Instagram followers it was “great to be back in Scotland” as he posted a picture of him standing next to whisky barrels.

In another snap, the father of four appeared to be getting his hands dirty using a hammer. The caption said: “All about the barrels.”

Becks has been a brand partner of the Haig Club single grain Scotch since its launch in 2014 and he has starred in many adverts for it.
