STREAM COME TRUE

- BY GARRY OWEN

STONY STREAM (3:40) can rock the bookmakers on a competitive Jump card at Warwick.

Jonjo O’Neill’s hurdler was a progressive novice who signed off with a good third to Decor Irlandais at Cartmel in July. I doubt we’ve seen the best of this exciting five-year-old who can make a winning handicap bow for his in-form handler.

Nigel Twiston-Davies is also thriving so I’m rowing in with CHANCE A TUNE (2:00). The four-year-old looks a worthy recruit to timber after his fine second to Fearless at Wincanton last December.

The Naunton handler can also take the novices’ chase with BALLY MOY (3:05). A Grade 3 winner over hurdles, the classy six-year-old has the scope to be even better over larger obstacles.

Some promising types clash in the maiden hurdle but I’m backing FLINCK (2:35) who had an eye-catching third behind Birds Of Prey at Taunton. Handler Phillip Hobbs can also take the bumper with TRUCKERS PASS (5:20) while CHASMA (4:10) can give Dan Skelton his customary winner at this venue.

The chaser is unexposed over three miles after giving the improving Anteros most resistance at Bangor last time. BANNIX TOWN GLORY (4:45) can shade the mares’ hurdle for Donald McCain. The five-year-old can do plenty of damage sent handicapping after slamming Tomorrow’s Angel in a Sedgefield novice. PERFEC IMPERFECTION (7:00) can claim a tricky fillies’ handicap at Chelmsford.

Marco Botti’s horse remains open to progress after her career best defeat of Bayston Hill over course and distance.

MICHELE STROGOFF (7:30) can enhance Michael Appleby’s course record. The six-year-old will take all the beating with any repeat of his narrow loss to Alfarqad here recently.

CANASTA (7:45) can hit the jackpot for James Fanshawe at Wolverhampton. The filly remains nicely unexposed over 1m 2f after her unlucky third behind The Dancing Poet in a decent Chelmsford handicap.

POETIC LEGACY (8:15) can take another step forward for Mark Johnston and build on her excellent second to Corked in a stronger event at Newcastle.
