Accounts linked to convicted Scot and ‘boot camp’ firm are removed

-

BY PETER DAVIDSON TWO YouTube accounts run by “pick-up artists” have been removed amid warnings that the videos could be illegal.

The platform has deleted hundreds of videos from accounts called Addy A-Game and Street Attraction, which they said breached rules.

The clips gave men lessons on how to pick up women on the street.

The move comes after creepy Scots pick-up artist Adnan Ahmed, who calls himself Addy A-Game, was found guilty at Glasgow Sheriff Court last month of acting in a threatening and abusive manner that could cause a reasonable person fear or alarm.

He approached five girls between May 2016 and November 2018 in Glasgow city centre and Uddingston, Lanarkshire.

The 38-year-old posted videos on YouTube of him approaching females to teach others about how to pick up women. Ahmed is now facing jail.

A YouTube spokesperson said: “YouTube strictly prohibits explicit sexual, graphic or harassing content. Nothing is more important than protecting

the safety of our community and we will continue to review and refine our policies in this area.”

In a programme aired on BBC1 Scotland last night, The Seduction Game, journalist Myles Bonnar went undercover to join a “boot camp” for would-be pick-up artists in London.

It was organised by a company called Street Attraction, run by Eddie Hitchens, whose real name is Edib Bajraktarevic. Six students paid £600 each to learn seduction techniques – and Bonnar was given advice on overcoming “last-minute resistance” to sex. Street Attraction used to post videos of secret recordings showing Hitchens and other coaches approaching young woman. Rape Crisis Scotland chief executive Sandy Brindley said: “I think there are real questions about legality, about criminal behaviour, about harassment, about using images, particularly intimate images or audio, without consent. “I think some of these techniques come very, very close to the definition of rape.”
