She said: “He’s lovely. It’s going really well.”

And if you are looking for holes in why she and Jack didn’t work, here’s a gut-puncher for her ex.

Speaking of Sammy, she admitted: “I just think we’re like best friends. He’s a good boy. We get on and I feel like I will treat my boyfriend how I would treat my best friends.

“I’d never, ever let my best friends down, so I’d never let my boyfriend down. And it’s vice-versa. I just think that’s how our relationship works.”

She also credited their state of bliss to the fact that Sammy is “chilled”, saying: “Because it is difficult, the job I do and stuff. I have to go away sometimes. But he’s just so chilled. And I need that.”

There are rumours that she will be engaged soon after Sammy passed the Danny Dyer test.

Dani said: “I’m not demanding anything, not yet. When it happens, it happens.”

As well as having a boyfriend who is a “good boy” and “chilled”, Dani has realised her family and longtime friends are the most important people in her life – and will help her keep safe now she’s in the public eye.
