Lennon: Walk off if abused FRAS CAN’T WAIT TO GIVE GERS THE SLIP

- TOMORROW LAST NIGHT

FRASER FORSTER is savouring the “no slip-ups” title race as he knows nothing else at Celtic.

The Parkhead keeper and his team-mates are looking to regain top spot in the table today with a win over Ross County.

It early days in the flag fight but the Englishman is used to tight title races from his first spell at the club and admits he missed the extra edge during his time at Southampton.

Forster said: “The first time I was here it was always the case that we had to win every week.

“I remember when Rangers had an early kick-off and we were playing at 3pm. You’d look at the scoreboard and think, ‘We’ve got 10 minutes to score so we can keep up, overtake them or put more pressure on them.’

“One of the biggest things I missed when I left here was the ‘we’ve got to win every week’ mentality. When you’re expected to take three points every single week and even a draw was a bad result.

“That pressure we have here was something I felt nostalgic for. The lads here thrive on it.

“But we need to concentrate on ourselves and not get drawn into NEIL LENNON says he would encourage his Celtic players to walk off the pitch if they suffer any form of racist abuse.

UEFA have ordered Lazio to close parts of the Stadio Olimpico for the Hoops’ visit in the Europa League on November 7 after the behaviour of their fans against Rennes.

The Italians have been warned further offences will lead to a full stadium closure having also been punished for similar actions against Seville eight months ago.

And Lennon would support his Celtic stars in leaving the field if they’re racially abused.

He said: “I would encourage it because it’s pointing out there is a wrong here. We all have to do a little bit more to prevent it. It’s personal and very hurtful.”

Asked directly about telling his team to walk off in Rome if they face unacceptable behaviour from Lazio fans, Lennon added: “We will be guided by the club before we take to the pitch, so it is difficult to say what we would do in those circumstances.” what Rangers are doing. If we play the way we can do and don’t drop to the standards of those games at Livingston and Hibs, then we should be okay.

“A win against County will put pressure on Rangers. We still need to start winning again and keep winning.”
