Martin grows increasingly tired of being under his arch-enemy’s thumb
Martin is not cut out for a life of crime. He’s just doesn’t have a devil-may-care attitude – quite the opposite, in fact.
The pressure to keep quiet about his work for Ben reaches boiling point this week and he ends up confiding in Kush, who thinks they should confront the young Mitchell.
Unfortunately, Ben refuses to back down but Martin, who’s clearly now got his dander up, devises a cunning plan.
It begins as Tubbs is arrested, which Martin knows will mean that Ben himself has to lend him a hand if their latest job is to go without a hitch. The next phase of the scheme seems to go well too – but is Ben really going to back down?
Across town, Lisa reveals she wants Louise and Keanu to move to Portugal with her. Although initially surprised by this turn of events, Louise soon sees its advantages – although Keanu isn’t convinced.
Jay’s day out with Lexi and Lola is scuppered by a new booking at work. The client
wants to organise a huge funeral, which could be lucrative business. However, when Jay discovers it’s for Terry Bates – the gangster responsible for his dad Jase’s death – his pent-up emotions look set to get the better of him.
Callum is shocked by how much Jay hates the dead man and asks Ben to help his friend deal with his pain. However it’s Billy who provides Jay with a shoulder to cry on.
Callum also becomes increasingly suspicious of Leo.
Keen to protect Whitney from any potential creeps, he quizzes the newcomer during a night at the The Vic about his time in the army. But it’s Whitney herself who finds a file on his laptop that contains some shocking information.
